The connecting rod in an airless machine is one of the most important internal parts of the pump assembly. It links the crankshaft (or drive shaft) with the piston/plunger, converting the motor’s rotary motion into a reciprocating motion that creates suction and pressure for spraying paint, putty, cement, or waterproofing material.

A piston rod is the connecting element between the piston and another moving part (like a crankshaft or crosshead). It transmits the force generated inside a cylinder (hydraulic, pneumatic, or combustion) to the next mechanical part.

A piston nut is a fastening component that secures the piston to the piston rod in pumps, engines, or hydraulic cylinders. It keeps the piston tightly fixed so it can transmit force without slipping.
